So London didn't exactly turn out as I had planned. After a wonderful first day and the V&A museum and a relaxing second day exploring Dawson's neighborhood and taking Wiley to the park, disaster struck. Early in the morning I woke up with the stomach bug. The stomach bug is already bad enough, but try having it in a foreign country. REALLY not fun. I was MIA for the next day, but luckily it was just a 24 hr bug.
The next day Dawson, Wiley, and I met Wil and his coworker for lunch. We met them at the tower of London and got to people watch for a little while. I had my first (and probably last) experience with Indian food. It probably wasn't the best first thing to eat after having the stomach bug.
After that Dawson, Wiley, and I went to Notting Hill and Portobello Road (the scene of this famous encounter) and looked at all the shops. Though the exchange rate is the pits, some vendors had great deals on pashminas (3 for 5 pounds!).
We went to another great resuraunt near Dawson and Wil's flat for dinner that served fries by the basketful. YUM.
Cameron and I were up late packing that night and watching the Olympics (Did anyone else see all the crashes on the downhill skiing? Ouch.). I though my suitcase was going to bust and I even used some of Dawson and Wil's vacuum seal bags! It'll be interesting to see how I make it back to America!
It was such a wonderful last day in London!
See you in VERONA!!
Ciao :)
